hsbg.cards — a community-built Hearthstone Battlegrounds card reference.
BG Card Database is a fan-built reference for Hearthstone Battlegrounds, run by a software developer from Ukraine who plays the mode. The goal is a fast, ad-free, link-friendly database that always reflects the current patch — useful for theorycrafting, sharing cards in chats and streams, and keeping track of what changes between updates.
Card data, text, and renders are extracted directly from the locally-installed Hearthstone game client using an open-source extractor. Nothing is scraped from Blizzard's servers, and the website does not call Blizzard services at runtime — pool status is cross-checked against Blizzard's public API at import time. This approach is consistent with Blizzard's end-user license and fan-content policies, which permit non-commercial, community-driven projects that reference game data.
The site updates every patch — typically within 24–48 hours of a Battlegrounds release. Card text and metadata are presented exactly as the game client serves them; see the Privacy Policy → How Card Descriptions Are Generated for the templated-text disclosure covering meta tags and similar derived prose.
This website is part of the Hearthstone Creator Program, but is not sponsored or fully affiliated with Blizzard in any way at the moment.
All in-game assets — Hearthstone, Battlegrounds, and all related card art, names, and trademarks — belong to Blizzard Entertainment. The website's own assets, design, and code belong to us; the site's initial design was heavily inspired by playhearthstone.com.
Community partner: Blackbears Tavern — a Ukrainian Hearthstone community we collaborate with.
The site is free and ad-free, and hosting is paid for out of pocket. If you would like to help cover it, donations are welcome. Nothing here is gated behind them — it is entirely optional.
